The Right Way to Move Your Home

When hiring a professional relocation firm like COR, it’s important to understand how your furniture and contents will be handled during the the move:

  • All wood furniture needs to be emptied out because the shifting of the weight can destroy the wood.
  • Vertical filing cabinets usually can stay full as long as they are on the first floor. If the files are on the second floor, they usually need to be emptied out.
  • When handling lateral filing cabinets, the top two drawers usually have to be emptied out. When we relocate your office furniture and filing cabinets, the items are properly stretched wrapped and padded for protection.
  • When moving office files or contents TYGA boxes or boxes are usually used to move the items.
  • Computer carts are used to move electronics equipment and computers. Computers, TVs and glass furniture are “bubbled wrapped” to ensure extra protection before relocating the items.
  • Antistatic keyboard bags are used to protect the keyboards during the office relocation.
  • All power strips and mice go inside the the antistatic keyboard bag.
  • COR also goes the extra mile to ensure your floors and doors are protected during the move. Masonite and corner boards are used to protect your floors and doors.
